The Iten Display at its current location beside the First Baptist Church.

Several years ago the Clinton Jaycees resurrected pieces of the historical Iten Family Christmas Display from the City of Clinton.  The display was setup at Mercy Health System-North and River Front Park before finding its final location at the First Baptist Church on North 3rd Street.  Permanent electrical was installed and pieces have been added and refurbished with funding from the Iten Family Foundation and hard work by the Clinton Jaycees.

Lyons Train Depot Management

Home sweet home.

The Lyons Train Depot is located one block north of Main Avenue in the north end of Clinton, Iowa (formally Lyons, Iowa) at 56 25th Avenue North.  The Clinton Jaycees worked with funds from the City of Clinton, the Lyons Business and Professional Association (LBPA), and their own to renovate this building into their organizations permanent meeting place.  The depot is also used by many local non-profit organizations.  Currently the depot is being used approximately 15-20 days per month.

Independence Day Carnival

Kids having a blast at the carnival.

Every year the Clinton Jaycees bring in a carnival for the Independence Day holiday to help promote and enhance our city's 4th of July celebration.  Along with the carnival the Clinton Jaycees hold the Carnival Food Drive.

Come and enjoy family fun at the Clinton Jaycees annual Independence Day holiday carnival.  From cotton candy and games to adrenaline-pumping thrill rides.  Clinton's largest carnival offers something for children and adults alike.  No gate fee for admittance to carnival grounds. Individual midway attraction ticket prices vary.  Held at the "Happy Joe's" parking lot (between Rotary Dr. & 5th Ave. S. at the foot of the dike).

The carnival is also a source of funding for the Clinton Jaycess.

Symphony of Lights

The Snowball Toss display.

The castle area of Eagle Point Park is decorated for the holidays.

The Symphony of Lights was brought to the Clinton, Iowa in November 1996 by two non-profit organizations, Clinton Jaycee Foundation and Clinton Symphony Orchestra.   These organizations founded the event as a fundraiser, but quickly learned it was much more.   The Symphony of Lights brought a sense of pride to the community that had been lacking for a long time.  It awakened volunteerism in all ages.   Since its inception the numbers involved has grown tremendously, now reaching around 400 volunteers.

In the Symphony of Lights' 6th season the Clinton Jaycees Foundation took over as the sole organizer of the event.  The event has continued to be a fundraiser for the foundation with all monies going to support their programs as well as continuing the Symphony of Lights and making improvements to Eagle Point Park.
